Pedro Fierro is an Assistant Professor at the School of Government and the Business School at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, where he also serves as Director of the Centre for Interdisciplinary Leadership (CIL UAI). He is an Adjunct Researcher at the Millennium Nucleus for the Study of Politics, Public Opinion, and Media in Chile (MEPOP) and a researcher at Fundación P!ensa, where he leads the public opinion division. His research examines political geography, digital life, and the democratic consequences of territorial inequalities. He has published in leading academic journals such as Cambridge Journal of Regions, Economy and Society, New Media & Society, Territory, Politics, Governance, and Information, Communication & Society. He is co-author of Abandoned Places in the Digital Era, published by Springer Nature and later translated into German by Springer Gabler. He regularly presents his research at international conferences, including ECPR, ERSA, and WAPOR, and his work frequently contributes to public debate through columns, interviews, and policy-oriented analysis in various media outlets. Pedro has received competitive research funding from ANID and actively participates in national and international academic networks. He has been a Miguel-Dols Fellow at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and a visiting researcher at Pompeu Fabra University. He holds undergraduate degrees in Social Sciences and Legal Studies from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, completed his master’s and PhD at the University of Navarra, and carried out a postdoctoral fellowship at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
